About Us
- What is FIJI Water?
FIJI Water is an artesian water, bottled at the source on the islands of Fiji. FIJI Water is the result of rainfall that fell long before the Industrial Revolution, filtering slowly through mineral-rich rock over hundreds of years. Gathering minerals like silica along the way, FIJI Water collects in an underground aquifer that keeps the water preserved and protected from external elements. According the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), artesian water is by definition more 'pure' because the confining layers of rock and clay protect the water from contamination. In the case of FIJI Water, the water remains in this encapsulated aquifer until it is bottled and shipped to you. It's water the way nature intended, untouched by man until you unscrew the cap.
- Is FIJI Water really from Fiji?
Yes, FIJI Water really is from islands of Fiji. The islands of Fiji are an archipelago of over 300 islands located in the South Pacific. About FIJI Water
- What are the different types of bottled waters?
The FDA (United States Department of Food & Drug Administration), which regulates bottled water in the United States, classifies bottled water by its origin. Below are the waters found most often on retail shelves in America:
ARTESIAN WATER
- Artesian water originates from a natural underground, pressurized chamber called an aquifer. Confining layers of rock, sand and earth within the aquifer help protect water from external contamination.
- With no access to the Earth's surface, the aquifer must be tapped to collect the water.
- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that water from artesian aquifers often is more "pure" because the confining layers of rock and clay protect the water from contamination.
- Nothing is added or taken away from FIJI Water which is the best example of an artesian water.
PURIFIED WATER
- Purified water is typically sourced from municipal (tap) water that has been treated to be free of chemicals and microbes.
- The most common treatment processes are distillation, deionization, ozonation and reverse osmosis, all of which remove minerals and nutrients from the water.
- As a result of the many treatment processes, certain minerals are often added back into the water to give the water "taste."
SPRING WATER
- Spring water is derived from an underground formation that allows the water to naturally bubble or flow to the Earth's surface.
- A porthole allows spring water to come to the surface, where it is either immediately collected for bottling or forms a small body of water.
- What makes FIJI Water different from other waters?
FIJI Water is different from other waters because of its source. Bottled at the source on the islands of Fiji, far from other industrialized nations, FIJI Water comes from a virgin ecosystem located at the edge of a primitive rainforest in the Yaqara Valley on the island of Viti Levu. This ecosystem ensures that the source of our water remains naturally free of acid rain and other environmental contaminants.
FIJI Water's source is an artesian source that is the result of rainfall that filters through mineral-rich rock over hundreds of years. According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), artesian water is by definition more pure because the confining layers of rock and clay protect the water from contamination.
Gathering minerals like silica along the way. The mineral composition of the volcanic rock on the islands of Fiji is different from other locations around the world. Volcanic rock in Fiji is rich in colloidal silica, a mineral that may help to strengthen hair, skin, nails, bones and connective tissue. The unique mineral profile that includes silica is also what gives FIJI Water its soft, smooth taste.
Through the natural filtration process, FIJI Water gathers in an underground aquifer where it remains until it is bottled and shipped to you. It's water the way nature intended, untouched by man until you unscrew the cap.
- What sizes (of bottles) of FIJI Water are available?

- What are electrolytes?
Electrolytes are substances found in the body that help regulate important physiological functions through electrical impulses. When dissolved in water, electrolytes are formed into positively and negatively charged ions. The ions also regulate through influencing movement of water in and out of cells.
FIJI Water contains beneficial amounts of electrolytes - 208 milligrams per liter. The electrolytes in FIJI Water are naturally occurring, as FIJI Water's mineral composition and taste are the result of its source: an artesian aquifer on the islands of Fiji, where mineral-rich volcanic rock acts as a natural filter for the water. FIJI Water filters through layers of this volcanic rock over hundreds of years gathering minerals, including the electrolytes sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and bicarbonate.
Bottled waters that have been treated or purified will typically be devoid of natural electrolytes unless they are added. Many sports drinks are known for their electrolytes. However, drinking FIJI Water allows for the daily digestion of electrolytes without the added sugar and calories of such manufactured beverages.
